Anthony (Tony) Russo, 87, of Union, NJ, formerly of Springfield, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, January 6, 2015. Born and raised in New York, Anthony lived in Springfield for 12 years, before moving to Union 29 years ago. He worked as an optician all his life. Anthony was a member of the Knights of Columbus, Springfield Council 5560, Casa Columbo of Millburn, and The American Legion of Millburn. He also was an usher at St. James Church. He enjoyed being around people and having fun. He loved watching horse racing, the Giants, and the Mets. Anthony is pre-deceased by his wife, Adrienne Russo (D’Angelo). He is survived by his daughter, Donna Seale, grandchildren, Jennifer, and her husband Jared, Erika, and Matthew. His sister-in-law Anna Kinzbrunner, and her husband Kurt. Anthony is also survived by many nieces and nephews and their families. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, January 10, 2015 at 10 am at St. James the Apostle Church, Springfield. Entombment St. Stephens Cemetery. Visiting hours, Friday, January 9, 2-4 & 7-9 pm at the Bradley Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Ave., Springfield.
