Anthony J. Rizzo, 98 of Millburn, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Friday, November 11, 2016 at Spring Meadows, Summit, NJ.

Anthony was born on September 15, 1918 in Millburn, New Jersey. He was the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Joseph and Marie (nee Chancia) Rizzo.

Anthony served for four years in the United States Army during World War II in both Africa and Europe. After the war he started his career as an accountant for Spenser Trask on the New York Stock Exchange and moved up to Comptroller for the company. Anthony was hardworking, respectful, generous, kind, and dedicated to his family. He planned and helped construct his own home and was handy at gardening and all types of home repairs. In his spare time, he liked completing crossword puzzles, putting together family photo albums, following the stock market and making wise investments. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife of 56 years, Frances Mary Rizzo. He was the beloved father of Mary Ann Laskowski and her husband, Edward and Joseph Rizzo and his wife Marina. He was the cherished Grandpa of David Laskowski and Andrew and Francesca Rizzo. In addition to his children and grandchildren, he is survived by siblings; Nicholas, Albert, Joseph and sister Rose Sanna.

A visitation will be Monday, November 14, 2016 from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. at Bradley, Smith & Smith Funeral Home, 415 Morris Avenue, Springfield, NJ 07081. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 11:15 a.m. on Tuesday, November 15, 2016 at St. Rose of Lima Church, 50 Short Hills Ave., Short Hills, NJ 07078. An entombment will follow at St. Rose of Lima Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be directed to the National Kidney Foundation.
