Anna R. Lusardi (nee Palmisano), known to her family as Nina, and long term resident of Union, NJ, passed away on September 4, 2013. She was 93 years old. A visitation will be held at the Bradley, Haeberle & Barth Funeral Home located at 1100 Pine Avenue in Union on Saturday, September 7th from 9am to 11am. Funeral will immediately follow from the funeral home at Gate of Heaven Cemetery in East Hanover.
Anna was born and raised in Newark, NJ. She moved to Union with her husband and daughter in 1969. Anna was employed by the County of Essex, Newark, NJ for 32 years. She held the position of Executive Secretary in the Building Service and Maintenance Department for 15 years before retiring in 1983. She also worked in the Department of Finance for 17 years.
Anna enjoyed cooking, baking and gardening especially during her retirement years.
Surviving is a daughter, Linda A. Lusardi, of Branchburg, NJ; a brother-in-law, Cas Baran, formerly of Mountainside, NJ; and a niece and nephews. Anna was predeceased by her loving husband of 38 years, Ernest J. Lusardi; a sister, Catalda Baran; and a brother, Joseph Palmisano.
