~~Anna E. Peters, 85, of Whippany, passed away comfortably at home on Monday, January 29, 2018 , surrounded by family.
Anna was born in Simpson, PA, and at age 9 her family moved to Newark, NJ, where she completed her schooling. She worked for Mutual Benefit Life in Newark, and then Allstate Insurance in Bridgewater. She has lived in Whippany for the last 50 years. Ann was an avid square dancer and round dancer for over 35 years. She and her husband Bob danced for the Lakeland Squares, The Rock A Ways and Cloud 9 Dancing.
She is survived by her husband Robert J.; daughters Marianne Freeman and her husband Don, Nancy Dolan and her husband Doug, Eileen Hendershot and her husband Tom and Carole Shell and her husband Peter; grandchildren Christopher, Patrick and David Freeman, Mary Allison and Lauren Shell, Shannon and Erin Dolan; and her sister Johanna Erzin.
A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, February 2, 2018 at 10am at Our Lady of Mercy Chapel on Whippany Rd., in Whippany. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover. There will be a visitation on Thursday from 4-8pm at the Bradley Braviak Funeral Home, 49 Whippany Rd., Whippany.
