Ann B. Johnson, 82, of Summit, New Jersey passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 13, 2016 at her home surrounded by her family.
Ann was born on April 14, 1934 in Morgantown, West Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Johnson J. and Winifred Bartlett.
Ann was a graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelor’s in Home Economics. She was a long-time member of Central Presbyterian Church in Summit, NJ where she sang in the choir for over 40 years. Later in life, she was a part-time crossing guard for the city of Summit. In her spare time, Ann enjoyed taking walks through the neighborhood, swimming, cross-stitching, playing Mahjong, and rooting for New York sports teams.
Ann was predeceased by her beloved husband, Justin A. Johnson and her son, Eric R. Johnson. She is survived by her children; Mark J. Johnson and wife Diane L of Adamstown, PA, Amy L. Augustin and husband Todd D. of Sterling, VA, Tim A. Johnson and Janet Cascio of Dunellen, NJ, Paul T. Johnson and wife Danielle M. of Millington, NJ and Jill A. Johnson of Summit, NJ. She was the cherished grandmother of Andrew, Megan, Matthew, Caitlyn, Rachel, Amber and two great-grandchildren.
A Memorial Service will be celebrated on Friday, December 16, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Central Presbyterian Church, 70 Maple Street, Summit, NJ 07901. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Ann’s name to St. Hubert’s Animal Welfare Center, P. O. Box 159, Madison, NJ 07940.
