Alfred C. Kocur, 85, of Toms River, formerly of Union, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, May 15, 2012 at his home.
Born and raised in Newark, Al lived in Union for 32 years, before retiring to Toms River in 1993. A veteran of the US Navy, he served during WWII in the Pacific Theatre. He was a skilled engraver for Passaic Engraving, in Passaic. Among his many interests were fishing and swimming and music. He was devoted to his family.
Predeceased by his wife Sophie F. Kocur, to whom he was married for 58 years; Al is survived by his children Michael Kocur and his wife Lori, and Joan Zadrozny and her husband Alex; grandsons Daniel, Justin and Eric Zadrozny, and Andrew and James Kocur; and sister Helen Stefanski of Union.
